Collective Manifestation Envisions New Era of Creativity and Unity

Collective Manifestation: Heart-Centered Blueprints for Creating Intentional Community, a nonfiction book by law of attraction expert and certified dream coach Melissa Wadsworth launches today, October 9, 2014, with bonus gifts for readers who purchase today. Collective Manifestation offers an inspired vision of the future that is collaborative, creative and progressive, and that is being manifested right now through diverse groups and communities worldwide.

Collective Manifestation book by Melissa WadsworthAccording to Wadsworth who broadly defines community as inclusive of both online and physical groups and teams, Collective Manifestation is part social-change manifesto, part inspiring self-help guide. She wrote the book to help leaders, organizers, and people being called to join with others, to form cohesive groups that manifest innovative goals, projects and services.

“Whether they occupy physical space, are event-based or are online, intentional communities are planting the seeds for new realizations of love, peace and plenty, related to the environment, the economy, technology, education, healing modalities, property ownership, and much more,” said Wadsworth.

Collective Manifestation offers practical organizational exercises and perception expanding intuitive processes that can be used independently or layered as part of creating cohesive community.

  • Collective Manifestation takes community development to an entirely new level by identifying the primary energy shifts inspiring people to connect in newly collaborative and creative ways.
  • For fans of the law of attraction, the 11 keys to collective manifestation reveal essential components that empower groups be a force for good.
  • The book also shares five empowering intuitive processes that enable readers to multi-dimensionally play with co-creation in the invisible realm of creation.

Intentional, inclusive and creative collective manifestation as the new paradign

Wadsworth believes that there is a surge in collective participation and contribution that is being sparked by several factors. First, technological advances make interaction possible between people who would never have met each other ten years ago. Secondly, there is a pervasive desire to interact and to belong in meaningful ways. As she stated, “Amongst innovators, leaders, and self-initiators I spoke with there is a recognition of the stagnancy of old societal structures that create barriers to innovation, and a desire to facilitate the evolution of collective consciousness through heart-centered initiatives. Great creativity and new thinking is emerging from this desire.”

Additionally, Wadsworth identifies primary energetic shifts that are inspiring people to connect in newly collaborative ways. This includes the shift from self-identifying primarily as a consumer to embracing one’s creator self, and the shift from exclusive to inclusive.

“Significant change is happening in every area of modern life and people are sensing that they can have a positive role in manifesting a different, more empowered reality,” said Wadsworth. “The people I spoke with are highly engaged and enthusiastic about their own potential and the immense possibilities being presented by a world in transition. Intentional communities are innovating ways to live, solve social problems, refocus business leadership, expand creativity, and redefine how to participate in community.” said Wadsworth.

The book which is available on Amazon.com is highly accessible and useful, covering diverse topics such as the new customizable economies, how to release and clear personal wounds, and why it’s time to rethink one’s relationship with property and real estate. It is designed to generate discussions about how global communities full of fearless co-creators and compassionate instigators can facilitate collaborative curiosity and cooperative creativity to expand what is possible for humanity and this planet at a pivotal time.

Three Types of Manifestation: Unconscious, Surface, and Conscious Manifestation

Energy Connection original art by Melissa WadsworthOver the last couple of months it’s become very clear to me that there are different levels of manifestation. I’d like to discuss three types of manifestation.

  • First, there is unconscious manifestation – this is what we create from our unconscious beliefs, habitual thoughts, unacknowledged emotions, and programmed mind. The resulting manifestations may be what we want, what we don’t want, or a total surprise.
  • Secondly, there is surface manifestation – this is when we try to influence manifested in physical reality by “making” things happen in our lives. We assume that if we take A Step, we will get B Result. Surface manifestation flows mostly from our conditioned minds. Family, society and community tell us, essentially, what’s possible to create and what we deserve, and then we try to attain society-approved perks (like a house/mansion, job/reputation/popularity, money/things/stuff, right mate/right roles, etc.).
  • Thirdly, there is conscious manifestation – this is when we put ourselves in the drivers seat of co-created reality through awareness of the benefits of working with unseen energy and frequency, and by realizing that we came into this life with a blueprint that influences the creations we are inspired to create. Conscious manifestations are more likely to be heart aligned with how we long to belong and express our personal light.

Unconscious manifestation often leaves us feeling frustrated. We think we want one thing, but may keep creating something entirely different. Until we understand what thoughts, beliefs and emotions are really running the show of our realized manifestations, we may create what we don’t want. We all, at some point, in some lifetime (probably this one) experience this. My father lived a life of unconscious manifestation and was often frustrated that the “world was standing in the way” of him getting what he wanted and thought he deserved. This often results in a a victim mentality.

Surface manifestation can be frustrating or satisfying, depending on your perspective and experience. Some people will follow the “rules” of society, get education, acquire a good job, and then be able to purchase all the rewards of fitting into the established societal order. However, for those people who don’t fit the prevailing societal mold, this can be a frustrating life experience. People might try to do the “right” things, yet not be accepted into the society’s hierarchy-of-accomplishment club. These people either find a way to establish their own satisfying path in life, fight the prevailing order to change things and make them more inclusive, or they continue to feel like outsiders and losers.

I recall as a child that my parents were always trying to play with surface manifestation by moving our family into new homes and new neighborhoods. Each time we were dragged into yet another model home, my sisters and brother would rush around picking the room that would be ours. We would try to find the room that attracted us on the surface. Of course, the room decoration didn’t come with the house, and after six moves or so, we stopped being interested in the charade that a house would change our dysfunctional family dynamic. That’s the problem with completely buying into surface manifestation: if you stop being satisfied with the surface “window dressing” of a surface manifested life, then you are left feeling lost. It’s that “is this all there is?” feeling.

Surface manifestation is full of rules and restrictions. It’s full of haves and have nots. It’s full of aggression and dogma. People who are fully invested in surface reality can get very aggressive about other people “seeing” their reality as the only reality. They do this from fear, for at heart they know that it’s flimsy fiction. We each perceive reality through the lens of our own life experiences, memories, and personality so there is never only one reality. There’s about 7 million realities co-existing.

Conscious manifestation takes co-creation to another level. Rather than try to “earn” manifested societal perks, one works with invisible energy to influence co-creation before physical reality appears. This is where life gets really interesting. As I state in my book, Collective Manifestation: Heart-Centered Blueprints for Creating Intentional Community, “The more your group or community appreciates the power of having one foot in the energy realm of fluid possibility and one foot in manifested (surface) reality, the greater the collective force of your intention, focus and action. Why not get the best of both worlds?”

When we start engaging life and manifestation at both the seen and unseen levels we really start to play with what it is we can create and we intuit more clearly what it is we came to this life to create, to manifest. This is a huge difference, from letting society tell us what is important, and what is valuable. When you work with energy you learn to discern what is true for you individually, and this allows you to bring so much more clear energy to your life, your family, your community, and the planet.

I believe that we steer the creative and inspirational energy that comes from “behind the seen.” Our mission (blueprint) guides us if we pay attention to our intuition. When we let intuition influence our choices, decisions and discernment then we are tuned in to spirit. And, the pressure of having to get it so-called “right” drops away. Working with unseen energy puts the play back into life instead of living being so much work.

Conscious manifestation is like having a banquet of energy to connect to, align with, and create from. It’s expansive creation that is not limited to what our brains can think up. Suddenly all the paths we might take, all the people connections in front of us on a daily basis, all the opportunities for collaboration and celebration appear. It’s like waking out of a trance to realize that all along, you had everything you needed all along.

In Collective Manifestation, I describe my group’s meditation process that enabled us to play in the energy field. I share what we experienced through fifteen meditations. I do this to be both transparent about our learning process and to show how you might go about believing that you can begin creation at a different level of awareness. I offer our experience as example of what is possible.

We hear so much about time being an illusion of our collective manifested reality, and that all timelines are actually layered and occurring simultaneously. Think of it this way: if this is true than all has already been created. You are not reinventing the wheel. We have a great opportunity to get out of our heads and into our hearts. We have the opportunity to influence the evolution of human consciousness by coming to each moment with love. Then we can feel what exists for us to truly work with in the creation of a new reality. Then we can sense the frequency of innovation, of what love creates and makes possible through the All That Is heart we are all a part of.

Play. Create. Feel your oneness with others. Earth needs your willingness to expand into new possibilities as the old-reality paradigm falls away. Never was so much possible.

Ten Tips for Navigating the Complexity of Co-leading and Co-creation

I recently spoke to Facilitator Coach Steve Davis, M.S., M.S., CMF, about the complexity of fostering group participation and community co-leadership, as more people awaken to their natural ability to be co-creators and co-initiators.

During a fascinating conversation Steve mentioned several factors that encourage each of us to move out of the old dominant “follower” and “consumer” paradigms and into the new energy of co-creating.

1. Model a new leadership style
Steve believes that first of all it will take leaders modeling new leadership qualities to facilitate more people stepping into their own leadership and co-initiator capabilities.

New leadership can be facilitated on multiple levels. “The leader has to take the role of creating an environment of trust. So that when people present alternative thinking they aren’t shunned or punished. This requires vulnerability on the leader’s part; it requires modeling what they are looking for,” Steve states.

2. Create structure that facilities open communication
Secondly the group or community needs structure that supports leadership modeling and acceptance of new ideas. As a point of comparison, Steve explains, “Our educational system is designed on a country that no longer exists. It is a system based on controlling the populace; it’s a self-alienating system,” he states. Steve recommends a book called, Weapons of Mass Instruction: A Schoolteacher’s Journey Through the Dark World of Compulsory Schooling by John Taylor Gatto for more information of this topic.

People like me who are called to create new intentional community desire community structures that lift up rather than alienate its members. Steve says, “Structure can be designed and enacted to support innovation and open sharing of ideas through rewards for participation and even for making mistakes. Innovation doesn’t happen without encountering things that don’t work along the way.”

This makes me recall a particularly wonderful French teacher I had in college who didn’t care what anyone thought about her. She was a brilliant model of speaking your mind, and being out of the ordinary (she loved to swim and her bleach-blond hair would turn a startling shade of green which she laughed about). She highly rewarded people who tried to answer questions, no matter how bad their accent or correctness. Trying itself was highly valued and reinforced over and over.

To journey into new territory, you have to be willing not to know and to admit that. You have to put forward ideas that are out-of-the-box, a little crazy. Steve points out, “This is hard for males who are raised with the imperative that ‘we must be right!’ It’s the idea that ‘I’m not going to share anything unless I’m convinced it’s going to work.’ Yet, this is so stifling to creativity. We end up suppressing our inklings.” And, the inklings are where brilliant ideas and innovations begin.

3. Encourage individuals to shift their perspective
Steve advises that we help others to see that they are leading their own life. “This often requires a change in perspective. Whatever system they want to change, they need to recognize that they are at the center of that system. It’s not out there somewhere. They are an incremental part of the system and can only experience the system from their own center of awareness. There are things individuals can do to shift internally, which will change their behavior externally and hence impact the system.” Steve uses the analogy of a lens. By making internal perspective shifts, we can open and clear the “lens” of our perception. He says, “When people see more clearly, they act more clearly and powerfully.”

4. Lead by listening
When I ask Steve what we can do to affect this internal shift, he states that we need to listen. “People tend to talk too much and reinforce their own position in their own mind. They need to let go of this. Really listen. Give up and let go of pre-conceived ideas. Give everyone a break. Realize that it’s tough for humans to work together.”

5. Surrender with trust
According to Steve, leaders have this idea that if all the parts work, then the machine should work. Smart people should create smart organizations. “No, all the parts create a new animal. We are grappling with something complex, like the weather system. A complex system is dynamically changing. It can be hard to discern what the right thing is. Surrender and trust are necessary. Creativity helps.” He continues, “A complex system requires that participants trust that what can be known, might not be known right away – it may not be revealed until it’s needed. We need to be willing to share relevant insights, needs and concerns, not necessarily waiting until we think we have the ‘right’ answer. If an idea or impulse to act comes, do it now! It’s given in this moment for a reason and when acted upon promptly, often yields more elegant results with least effort. A week from now, that insight might not matter.”

6. Be non-resistant to change
Steve sees life as a dynamic process wherein change is one of the only constants. “We can resist it or flow with it. Find flow in yourself and you can be a catalyst for flow in the world. For an organ to be healthy, each cell has to do its part for the whole, which also means getting its own needs met,” he says. “In the past, people would sacrifice the self for the good of the whole or people would try controlling the whole. Within the higher order of the group mind, we desire to access the wisdom of the collective.”

As I talk about in Collective Manifestation, the needs of every individual need to be met; the needs of the group need to be met. Steve believes that we become less resistant to change when we remove either/or thinking. By being more inclusive and more flexible, we resolve more needs.

7. Navigate with curiosity
Another key aspect to co-leadership and co-creation is navigating with curiosity. “Embody sharing openly; support others in that. Intervene and ask others to involve themselves. Acknowledge them when they speak up and stand out. We undervalue caring in our organizations. It’s important to express that we care about another’s opinion, especially if it’s out-of-the-box and contrary for our opinion! That takes courage!” says Steve.

8. Embrace healthy conflict
Creativity rarely arises from stagnation, from the status quo. Creativity arises from chaos and conflict. Steve points out that healthy conflict can be good for collaboration. Conflict of ideas can lead to creative breakthroughs. He says, “Any system that is stable, has to go through disorder, through conflict in order to grow. You must go through instability to get to a new higher order. Good leaders reinforce the idea of ‘Let’s freely debate our ideas and dance with this in cyclone of creativity.’ Eventually it will settle.” Steve recommends The Magic of Conflict: Turning a Life of Work into a Work of Art by Thomas Crum as an excellent resource on this topic.

9. Commit to being uncomfortable
As I emphasize, and offer exercises for, in Collective Manifestation, co-creators need to be clear on their intentions in order to direct heart energy effectively. Steve puts it this way, “What is our commitment? Is it us together reaching something better, higher? Then we must be willing to be uncomfortable. Labor pains are normal when birthing any creation. Trust something beautiful will come. That perspective may invite something more beautiful to come through.”

10. Have Faith
Finally the other essential ingredient to effective co-creation is faith. Steve beautifully recognizes this when he says, “Faith comes from the experience of what happens when you let go. Have faith in the creative intelligence that flows through you.”

This immediately brings to my internal jukebox, the John Hiatt song, “Have a Little Faith,” which I leave you with.

Steve Davis offers training and resources for facilitators, leaders, educators, trainers, coaches and consultants seeking to develop facilitation skills and resolve barriers to collaboration. He publishes the Master Facilitator Journal, a weekly ezine for group leaders, with over 5,000 readers in over 100 countries. Instant Manifestation: What’s Love Got To Do With It?

I had a dream last week that we could each know the true gift we came into this life with. Instant manifestation is one such gift, that we all have access to. And, here’s the kicker: the frequency of love IS instant manifestation at all times!

heart activation painting by melissa wadsworth

heart activation by melissa wadsworth

Each moment that you mindfully hold the high vibration of love, you manifest that which is your deepest desire: to know love which is a sense of belonging without judgment or conditions, to be love which is a sense of infinite creative potential, to acknowledge love which is a sense of being able to recognize love in all people and all beings, and to share love which is the sense of others allowing themselves to be open and touched by that which you freely give. This is true connection, our invitation to feel our oneness.

Love energy is the path to freedom
There is nothing to desire beyond the holding of love frequency. From that all rises into physical manifestation in perfection. You no longer need to hold vision of what you want you must hold in order to manifest — this is still your mind at work rather than your soul at play. Rather open up to what is emerging through you and your life, feel it! All the moments in your life up to this point have perfectly poised you to express love energy in your own brilliant manner.

The new manifestation paradigm is an energy we merely keep choosing to lean into. So in a playful way, no matter what is happening in your life, keep recognizing love. Say to the situation, the opportunity, the challenge, the personality in front on you: “Oh, I recognize you…you are love. Okay let’s make up a new dance!”

What a relief to know that the focus of love is enough at all times. This is truly the freedom we seek in our lives. No self expectations to live up to, no social standards to meet. We can do anything, be anyone, create all through love and that is perfection, that the path that rises up to greet us each day.

Love is the Freedom that comes from within and amplifies all that is, without exception! How lucky we are to inhabit Earth — the planet of love manifestations.

Online and Off: Intentional Community 2014 Style

For many the word community evokes images of the neighborhood where they live. Yet, in 2014 the term community has expanded to refer to much more than people in a particular location.

cover community-group 2Specifically, I’m talking about intentional communities — the growing number of groups that meet online, through blog feeds, and in virtual words, that come together for special events, and inhabit geographical locations. Each of these can be conduit or expanded love on our planet.

The potential for creating intentional communities that do amazing things in the world is where it’s at! No longer do we need to go it alone. In fact, going it alone is passe, part of the old paradigm.

I decided to walk my talk recently by launching an Indiegogo.com crowdfunding campaign. This enables me to reach out and connect to people who are interested in supporting projects that excite them, and that they perceive as needed.

This is a great way for committed groups of people who have great ideas and passion to create a foundation of support. We need people connecting to others and engaging in daily life in a more empowered and intentional way. The planet needs the collective force of many devoted individuals doing what they are best at. We need to support one another.

We need all the innovation, invention, and creativity humanity can produce. We need heart-and-soul driven projects led by caring people who have a vision of the difference they can make in the world.

In the past community was a place of security. Through the past fifty or so years of the “me” movement we have moved away from that definition. The rise of the individual came at the cost of losing our sense of connectedness.

Now we are shifting from “I” to “We” in a new form. Today’s “We” is not just about taking care of one’s immediate community. The communities of today want to have a ripple effect out into the greater world.

The “We” of today is more inclusive. It’s not about tribes or the Hatfields and the McCoys. Today’s connectedness is meant to absorb differences and diversity in order to make use of individual brilliance for the benefit of the whole of the world.

In today’s intentional community you will find lively engagement and support. You will find people stepping out of traditional roles to inhabit roles that didn’t exist ten years ago. You will find people asserting their personal flair as part a team effort. It’s not about losing one’s sense of self; it’s about expanding one’s sense of self and putting this self in a grander context.

With all the technology available and the World Wide Web providing a whole new world of space or “geography,” what community can be has exploded!

I’ve found some of the tightest and most powerful groups online in social media and through blog communities. Here it seems individuals are more free to be their quirky selves. Online they can drop the social facade and speak more authentically. They can come from the heart without worrying so much about how they will be “seen.”

We haven’t broken free completely from the constructs of old social programming entirely. Yet, I see that we’re are giving ourselves permission to explore and play with belonging to different intentional communities. There are more places we feel we can “belong” to. This is bringing back that sense of connectedness we had lost.

My greatest hope is the people will remember that we are forging new communities with each physical meeting or online contact. We are testing the extent to which we can expand our mental and emotional capabilities. How inclusive can we be? Very inclusive I hope. Inclusive enough to not only include other humans in our intentional communities, but to include all beings that occupy the planet with us. Then it truly will be a brave new world that we create together.
